labeling has been rearranged in hopes of making the sites more notable. Please
note Exhibit 2010 -7(1) that is scaled for better detail west of 27 road.)
d. Due to the volume of information that is relevant and included on this map, is
difficult to read and understand. Please submit an additional map in a larger
scale focusing on the mine west of 2700 road. Title the map exhibit 2010 -7(1).
This map will not replace Exhibit 2010 -7 but will make clear all the details of
this area. Be sure to include revisions a, b & c above.
(Exhibit 2010 -7(1) is completed and the scale is 1/200 versus 1/400.)
e. The current permit (including PR -6) states, "Sampled intensity is 1 sample
location per 2.5 acres in areas where the surface spoil functions as s subsoil
substitute and 1 sample location per 5 acres in all other areas." The previous TR-
57, which governed the 2009 -10 sampling, states "The minimum sampling
intensity shall be one hole per map unit or 5 acres whichever is less ". The
Morgan property is adequately sampled on a 330ft2 grad ((2.5 acres as PR -6) but
the remainder of the mine is sampled on a 600ft2 grid (8.26 acres) which is too
large an area b either standard. The areas north of BB Road that were backfilled
on 2009 and 2010 should be sampled on a 465112 grid (5 acres).
(2.05.1(2)(d) -8 & 9 state "...sample grid is 600 feet by 600 feet... ".)
6. Exhibit 2010 -10, 2010 Topsoil Soil Balance — Please clarify or correct the discrepancies
listed below for this map:
a. In the chart Morgan Soil Back Fill Calculations, the calculations for square feet
do not equal the acreage for the corresponding Zones 2 and 3. Zone 2 is 12.21
acres which is 531,868112 (43,560ft2/ac) but is listed as 521,529. Zone 3 is 31.68
acres which is 1,379,981ft2 but is listed as 1,256,371. Please explain the
differences in area.
(The chart now matches the various Zone areas square footage.)
b. The chart "Morgan Soil Back Fill Calculations, is not calculating backfill but
rather topsoil. Please rename chart "Morgan Topsoil Replacement Calculations ".
(Chart name changed.)
c. The chart "Required Morgan Backfill is not calculation backfill bur rather
topsoil. Please rename chart "Morgan Topsoil Balance ".
(Chart name changed.)
d. Please include another chart showing the "Non- Morgan Replacement
Calculations ". Include in the chart the calculations (averages & soil depth) used
to determine the required fill values used in the "Required Backfill Non - Morgan"
chart.
