a. The total topsoiled area for 2008 is 18.0 acres which was done in three areas:
Plots A, B, and C. Plot A is outlined on the map, but plots B and C are not
designated. Please draw in plots B and C on the map.
(Map is updated.)
b. The Plots topsoiled in 2008 are accounted for in the chart but are not indicated on
the map
(Map is updated.)
c. The area topsoiled 2006 and earlier are called blocks and the areas topsoiled are
called plots, please make nomenclature consistent in all years
(Map is updated.)
d. Sampling points TS -51, 52, and 53 are located in the road. Is this accurate?
(Please note the locations of text and new larger crosshairs for the sample
locations. Sample points were offset south of the original locations due to BB
road & the Mine access road. All sample points are taken in the area of the
grid, not the exact point. This is partly due to using a hand held GPS or
compass and string box or tape. Currently we use a survey grade GPS but still
only excavate in the area of the point and will offset as needed.)
e. The sampling points TS -67 is unmarked on the map
(TS -67 is offset from its grid location due to the former BB Detour road and
rock outcrops. TS -67 is located 4 grid points north of TS -51.)
f. There are additional retopsoiled acreages listed in the 2007 topsoiled block.
Please explain to what this is referring
(This is a referencing the 2007 retopsoil areas. The area is now present on the
map.)
g. The values listed on chart "Top Soil Sample Points for 210" do not correspond
with the values shown at the sampling points.
(The map has been updated to correctly reflect the sample depth.)
h. Sample point 95 is shown as TS 95 A &B on the chart but multiple sample points
are not listed of shown on the map. Was more than one sample taken? How was
the value on the chart determined?
(The original sample was found to have 13" of topsoil. The resampling of the
same area appeared to have a total of 26" of topsoil and was completed by a
soils professional. Therefore, 2 samples were taken, one to match the prior
sample, and the other to get the remaining depth.)
i. Sample points TS 95 on the map has a topsoil depth of 1.1 feet which is lower
than the required minimum of 1.25 feet (15 inches)
