Paul Banks and Associates, LLC
Exhibit J — Vegetation Information
The property has been used as cropland (turf grass and alfalfa). Native vegetation
includes cottonwood trees, inland saltgrass, alkali sacaton, salt cedar (also considered a
noxious weed by Pueblo County), and willow (USDA, SCS), all of which is located along
the north bank of the Arkansas River. A 300 foot setback from the north river bank is
shown on Exhibit C -3, within which no mining or processing activity will occur to reduce
impacts on native vegetation. The only disturbance within the 300 foot zone will be the
placement and maintenance of a discharge pipe and outlet structure (as shown on
Exhibit C -3).
St. Barbara Sand and Gravel Mine 10031
Pete Lien & Sons, Inc. 25 June 15, 2011
