Schwartzwalder Mine <br />3 6 July 2011 <br />TR -18 Adequacy Review - Revised File No. M- 1977 -300 <br />A) The basis for the provided cost estimate of $1,429,000, or a revised estimate based <br />on updated information. <br />B) Engineering design drawings of all structures requiring construction, including the <br />cutoff walls, footers, creek intake, headgate, trash grate, overflow weir, stilling basin, energy <br />dissipater, and any other associated structures. <br />C) Estimated amounts of earthwork excavation required for placement of the pipe and means of <br />access, and location where excavated earth will be stockpiled. <br />D) A description of preparatory activities, such as construction of temporary coffer dams, <br />dewatering, temporary water storage and water disposal. <br />E) Anticipated revegetation needed after removal of diversion structures. <br />18) The operator must commit to providing copies of permit- related correspondence with other agencies on <br />matters related to storm water (WQCD), construction dewatering discharge (WQCD), hazardous materials <br />and waste management (HMWMD), Section 404 (USACE), and grading, erosion, and sediment control <br />(Jefferson Co.). <br />19) Depending on the construction disturbance to Ralston Creek, the operator must provide a temporary <br />erosion control and slope stabilization plan for areas within the creek and a reclamation plan for after the <br />diversion pipeline is removed. <br />20) The operator shall provide design analyses and details sufficient for the division to evaluate the <br />effectiveness of proposed energy dissipation in Ralston Creek at the outfall of the diversion pipeline and the <br />downstream cutoff wall. <br />The decision date for consideration of TR -18 has been extended until 5 August 2011, and the adequacy <br />issues described above must be addressed by that date or an extension must be requested by the Operator. <br />Failure to do so may result in denial of the TR.
