There also was some coal dust on the disturbed land between the main coal stockpile <br />bench at the bottom of the hill and the highway. However, in both cases, the disturbed area runoff goes to <br />sediment ponds. In addition, mine personnel occasionally will clean up the excess coal dust. <br />There were no indications of fugitive dust on any of the other disturbed areas at the mine There was a slight <br />staining of the road surface near the mine entrance but this did not pose a problem. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 ❑ ❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />There was a fair volume of water in pond B. The barrel float was on the primary discharge line. The pond <br />embankment appeared to be stable and the emergency spillway was clear of debris. Inlet ditches were in place and <br />appeared to be functional. <br />There was a moderate volume of standing water in pond C. The float was on the primary hose and the emergency <br />spillway appeared to be unblocked. There appeared to be a little water or wet mud in pond D. <br />There also was a fair volume of standing water in pond F. The barrel float was on the pond F primary discharge <br />hose as well. The riprap on the steep ditch section leading into pond F appeared to be in place. The west side inlet <br />ditch seemed to have enough capacity. <br />The riprap in the ditches appeared to be in place. No problems with ditches were noted. <br />
