• <br />ame0 <br />Earth & Environmental <br />C) Geomembrane Delivery <br />1) VLF <br />No geomembrane was delivered to site during the week. <br />D) Anchor Trench <br />1) VLF <br />Water and trash were removed from the anchor trench, preparing for deployment of the PSSA <br />primary geomembrane (100mil) and backfilling of the anchor trench. <br />Backfilling of the PSSA anchor trench continued between stations F0 +00 ( + / -) and F8 +00 <br />( + / -). The anchor trench was backfilled using a John Deere 35D excavator, a CAT skid steer <br />loader, and laborers. Soil liner fill was moisture conditioned using a tandem axel water truck <br />and placed in the trench in one -foot compacted lifts. Compaction was performed using a <br />vibratory plate compactor. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed structural fill placement within the Phase 5 VLF fill area. Ambient temperatures were <br />monitored during fill placement. <br />AMEC inspected and approved subgrade prior to SLF placement within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, performed necessary testing, obtained moisture samples, and assisted in the placement <br />and moisture conditioning of SLF material within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and approved subgrade for geomembrane deployment within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed, logged data, and assisted in the installation of geomembrane within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC inspected and accepted the PSSA anchor trench for backfill within the Phase 5 VLF. <br />AMEC observed construction of the PSSA ore slope. <br />AMEC observed, obtained samples, and assisted in the process of SLF material at the East Cresson Clay <br />Borrow. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 07.10.10.D <br />
