• <br />ame0 <br />Earth & Environmental <br />structural fill using the previously stated method. Remediation of a section of the working to the <br />northeast will be performed as cut is performed in the area. <br />C) Lateral/Slot Remediation <br />No work was performed during the week. <br />IV) Storm Water Management Structures <br />A) Control Structures <br />No work was performed during the week. <br />B) Best Management Practices <br />Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project. Storm water <br />controls were maintained throughout the week. Precipitation was not substantial throughout the <br />week. <br />Storm water controls are being constructed in the East Cresson Clay Borrow as needed. <br />V) VLF Primary Underdrain <br />Construction of the Primary Underdrain resumed using a CAT 345 excavator. The underdrain trench <br />was excavated from station 16 +00 ( + / -) and 21 +00 ( + / -). An AMEC field representative inspected and <br />accepted the under drain subgrade. Geotextile (10oz. /yd 6" CPe pipe, and three -feet of Underdrain <br />Fill were placed in the trench between stations 16 +00 ( + / -) and 21 +00 ( +1 - <br />III VI)VLF Closure Drains <br />Excavation of the northeast and northwest closure drains was performed using a John Deere 850 <br />excavator. Three -feet of underdrain fill material was placed in the north east closure drain using a <br />CAT 966 front -end loader. <br />VII) VLF Geosynthetics <br />Five loads of 100mil LLDPE and two loads 80mil HDPE geomembrane were delivered to site during <br />the week for a total of 77 geomembrane rolls. All loads were delivered on flat bed trucks in good <br />condition. The rolls were unloaded using a CAT 966 front -end loader with forks attached. The <br />geomembrane was placed on three pieces of 4" HDPE pipe, staked two rolls high. An AMEC field <br />representative was present at all times during unloading of the geomembrane. The AMEC <br />representative also inventoried to geomembrane as it was unloaded. <br />CQA ACTIVITIES: <br />SUMMARY: <br />The CQA activities performed consisted of observing, documenting and recording the construction <br />activities of the contractor. <br />AMEC observed and documented ambient and fill temperatures, as well as the placement of structural fill <br />within the Phase 5 VLF fill area. <br />• AMEC observed stripping topsoil at the East Cresson Clay Borrow. <br />VLF Weekly Report WE 04.10.10.D <br />
