We have the following comments on the
resolution of those items.
1. Resolved.
2. Please include, on Page 1 of Attachment 20 -D, a statement that SCC will develop Moisture /
Density ( "Proctor ") curves for each separate type of fill material prior to commencement of
placement and compaction, and will have that information available on site during all phases
of construction.
3. Resolved.
4. -15. Responses previously accepted.
STATE OF COLORADO
16. SCC should exercise caution when placing excavated material in this area since any failure of
the resulting embankment may result in reconstructed drainages being blocked and the fill
becoming saturated. The Division's concern is based on the situation occurring in Pond 012 at
the present time, where excavated materials placed between two channels have failed,
blocking a portion of the Pond 012 inlet and underdrain.
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
COLORADO
D I V I S I O N O F
RECLAMATION
MINING
— &—
SAF ETY
John W.
