The mine is a reclaimed surface mine <br />with no remaining mining activity occurring on the site, and no personnel on site. The permit is in the later <br />stages of a Phase III bond release evaluation. The weather was sporadically rainy and partly sunny during the <br />inspection. Temperatures in nearby Oak Creek were 55 degrees. The snowpack has melted off the mine site. <br />The Yampa River basin recorded an unusually high snowpack this winter, with NRCS reports in excess of <br />200 %. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS — Rule 5.02.4(1): <br />Records were checked in the Routt County Clerk and Recorder's office. All required records were in place <br />and up to date. Records list accompanies this report. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Wildlife were prevalent throughout the reclaimed mine An individual Porcupine was observed in the <br />Moffat Pit area, numerous Pronghorn with young were observed throughout. Yellow - bellied Marmots were seen <br />in considerable numbers throughout the mine Two Llamas were observed in the West Ridge area. One was the <br />same animal observed in a 2010 inspection.
