6) In reference to the proposed vegetative islands please specify what initial stabilization <br />methods will be used. Also, since the islands are designed to intercept drainages within the <br />proposed permit area are long term stabilization methods proposed to maintain the long <br />term vegetative island integrity? <br />7) According to the comments from the Colorado Division of Water Resources (DWR) <br />received May 23, 2011 approximately 16 acre feet of water is available for the Craig Ranch <br />Pit, not 21 acre feet as indicated in the permit application. Please clarify the status of the <br />decree, according to the DWR, no water is available for use at the Craig Ranch under the <br />lease submitted with the application. <br />This is a preliminary review. Other issues may arise from other agency comments, and as more <br />information is supplied. Also, DRMS hydrology staff is currently reviewing the application and will <br />send their review under separate cover in the near future. This application cannot be approved until all <br />issues brought forth by Division staff are adequately addressed. Please submit a response to the <br />following issues as soon as possible, but no later than July 10, 2011 so the decision due date set July 21, <br />2011 can be met.
