Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Seneca II-W Mine conducted by Susan Burgmaier and Sandy Brown of <br /> DRMS. Roy Karo of Seneca Coal Company was present during portions of the inspection, and Dennis Jones was <br /> present for the inspections of Ponds 009, 015, and 017. Weather conditions were sunny and warm; ground <br /> conditions were mostly dry. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The majority of the required records were inspected at the mine office on June 6, 2011; hydrology related <br /> records were reviewed with Dennis Jones at the mine office on June 8, 2011. All required records were available <br /> on file. The operator needs to file the insurance certificate and most recent(SL3)bond release documents <br /> (findings,bond rider, cost estimate)to be consistent with those on file at the DRMS office. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑❑Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 016A was discharging into Pond 016, which was also discharging. The discharge from both ponds <br /> was clear. A spoil spring was discharging into Pond 016A, emanating between Haul Road J and the shrub plot. <br /> Pond 005 was discharging clear water. Pond 009 was discharging clear water; the embankment was stable. <br /> Pond 017 was discharging clear water;the embankment was stable and vegetated. <br /> The drainages between Pond 015 and the reclaimed area(at PM41)and PM4C/PM4B)were inspected. <br /> Downcutting was observed in the channels,and it was discussed with the operator. The operator will look into <br /> possible solutions to the downcutting that could be implemented closer to the disturbed area,to prevent further <br /> degradation of the undisturbed areas that runoff passes through before reaching the pond. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 10 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br />
