June 8,2011 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RDZ <br /> The following culverts were inspected and maintenance needs were observed: <br /> • A5—no maintenance needs. <br /> • GRS2—some sediment removal needed at downstream end. <br /> • Al-no maintenance needs. <br /> • AE10-some sediment removal needed at upstream end. <br /> • AE 11 -no maintenance needs. <br /> • Culverts along D Pit Road—culvert next to shop requires cleaning. <br /> • BC Road/No Name culvert-no maintenance needs. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br /> The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03: <br /> Many roads were observed during the inspection, including the Life of Mine Road,the North A Road,the Middle <br /> A Road, and the B/C Haul Road. All active haul roads were stable and were functioning as permitted at the time <br /> of the inspection. <br /> Several ditch-outs were inspected along the Life-of-Mine Road,and no significant erosion or other problems were <br /> observed. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> On the areas that were inspected from the roads and from walking,no problems such as gullies on reclaimed areas <br /> were observed, with one exception. Rills were observed on the reclaimed slope north of the Ash Pit, and these <br /> appear to be larger than they were in previous months. Continued monitoring is advised. <br /> White Top was observed in many areas of the mine site, including parcel F-AB-06(a portion of the SL-12 area) <br /> and the dam for No Name#2 pond. Cheat grass was also observed in many places, including the Coyote dam. <br /> These weeds should be continually monitored and managed as required in the permit,which includes spraying of <br /> White Top. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> The mine ID and blasting signs at the main mine entrance and at the entrance near Coyote Pond were found to be <br /> in compliance. <br /> Perimeter markers were observed(and found in compliance)in the East Pyeatt drainage, along the west boundary, <br /> and along the entrance road. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 10 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
