Exhibit is a general description of the occurrence and control measures of some noxious weeds found in
Colorado. Typically, noxious weed management and associated mitigation measure would be provided to
the operator through the environmental analysis.
Response:
Although, no noxious weeds have been identified on the site, the Colorado Noxious Weed Act
lists Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense on its "B list". This invasive weed has been observed
within one-half mile of the project site, but not on the site. For this reason, we have included
information on how this invasive weed would be managed. This was a pro-active step to protect
the site from a potential environmental impact. If this invasive weed become established
eradication could be difficult; therefore, a control technique to manage it was included in the
Poo.
Mark Cape
_'?V ei__-
Operator
Attachments: Support letter from the Mineral County (Attachment A), legal description and plat
of CME, LLC lode claims, (Exhibit B), Operation Plan (24"06", Exhibit D).
Cc: Bob Oswald, DRMS Environmental Protect Specialist, Nicholas Sandoval (BLM/USFS
Geologist), Don Earnest, Geologist
