The 1'xF trench was excavated using a CAT 312
excavator. 40mil HDPE geomembrane and 12oz/ft2 geotextile were placed in the trench.
Three-inch CPe pipe was then placed over the geotextile. Approved leak detection fill (LDF)
was placed in the trench using a CAT 950 front-end loader and laborers. The geotextile was
wrapped and overlapped, encapsulating the LDF and 3" CPe pipe. SLF material was then
placed over the trench. Leak detection trench construction was observed and inspected by an
AMEC field representative and found to be constructed in accordance with design drawing and
project specifications.
II) Storm Water Management
A) Best Management Practices
Best Management Practices are being observed throughout the Phase 5 VLF Project.
111) Material Processing
A) Drain Cover Fill Process Area
No Drain Cover Fill (DCF) was processed during the week.

Location This Week Cumulative
Comments
(tons) tons
DCF Process 0 121,223
Total 0 121,223
IV)VLF Geosynthetics
A) Geomembrane Installation
1) VLF
No work performed during the week.
VLF Weekly Report WE 05.21.2011
