May Day Idaho Mine Complex 112 (d) Permit Application <br />• Absorbent mats will be used to absorb moisture; <br />• Any impacted soil will be removed within 24 hours and disposed off-site in an <br />approved facility within 14 days. <br />(f) Containment Facilities Design Capacity <br />In accordance with the Storm Water Management Plan (Attachment T-4), chemicals will <br />be stored in either 55 gallon drums or in sacks. Chemicals stored within drums will be <br />placed into 70 gallon polyethylene secondary containments vessels. Containment <br />structures are designed and certified by a registered Colorado Professional <br />Engineer. <br />6.4.20(8) Groundwater Information <br />(a) Map <br />Water information required by Rule 6.4.21(8) a is presented on Figure C-6, Exhibit C. <br />(Attachment H) <br />(b) Known Aquifers and Related Subsurface Water Bearing Fracture Systems Within 2- <br />miles <br />The permit area is located at the northern boundary of the San Juan Hydrogeologic Basin <br />(Topper et. al., 2003). The Morrison Aquifer is the only hydrogeologic unit of the San <br />Juan Basin present within the permit area and is stratigraphically higher than the ore- <br />bearing zones. The May Day and Idaho mines are located within southward-dipping <br />sedimentary rocks cut by a series of east-west faults.
