Access Road <br />• Grade the existing road surface to drain at least 2% to the inside road cut(Attachment <br />A- Sheet C2.00-CLC Associates; <br />• Remove terrace material from the first switch back (see below for slope design) <br />(Attachment A- Sheet C3.10-CLC Associates; <br />• Remove material from the cut slope to desired slope and road width; <br />• Removed terrace rock will be screened and crushed as necessary using portable <br />equipment; <br />• Crushed rock will be temporarily stored and used for road base; <br />• Grade cut slope to specification (Road surface will be placed on the bedrock cut (14 <br />feet wide); <br />• To stabilize the previously constructed out slope,-material from the top of the fill to <br />an area approximately 20 feet (Attachment A- Sheet C3.10-CLC Associates from the <br />base of the fill will be sequentially removed in 10 foot or less benches to form the <br />final slope grade. The material will be removed using a combination of an excavator <br />and front end loader; <br />• The fill slope located from the toe of the fill to an area approximately 20 feet from the <br />edge of the existing wetland will be prepared to place erosion logs (See BMPs <br />Attachment B) parallel to toe of the fill; <br />• Extreme care will be used to prevent rock from rolling into the adjacent; <br />• Rock fill removed from the out slope will be stockpiled in designed storage areas for <br />road base use; <br />• Rock from the fill will be crushed as necessary and used for road base; <br />• After BMPs are constructed, at Station 22+10 the road fill including the 36 inch <br />culvert will be removed; <br />• Fill material will be temporarily stored in designated areas and the culvert will be <br />scrapped and disposed of offsite in an approved landfill; <br />• The culvert including inlet and outlet controls (catch basin, debris basin, riprap etc.) <br />will be installed in accordance with design specifications; (Sheet C4.12) <br />• Stockpiled material will be used to back fill the culvert and to bring the road to <br />grade; <br />• Road fill material will be compacted per ASTM standards; <br />• Buttresses will be constructed per design and specification; <br />• Construction will be under the supervision of a registered professional engineer; <br />• Road construction from the Station 16+00 to 18.80 will be cleared, graded, backfilled, <br />and road base applied to design specifications using material generated from the <br />terrace and from the rock fill adjacent to the wetlands; <br />[Publish Date] <br />5 <br />
