Response to CN-01 Third Adequacy Issues - June 6, 2011
• Please avoid the splitting of small areas onto multiple maps. Please combine
Figures F-4 and F-4A onto one map. Please show the entire 8.2 acres of
reclaimed lands for the Pay Day and Idaho claims on one map.
• Figure F-4A indicates an 11 foot highwall at 1 H:1 V slope, which is in conflict
with the 2H:1 V slope described in the reclamation plan.
• Figure F-5 shows a shed and an outhouse, not discussed in the reclamation plan.
• Figure F-5a redirects the Division to a different map for details of the final
configuration of the reclaimed area. Figure F-5a covers an area of 0.3 acres and
the 11 inch by 17 inch paper for Figure F-5a provides sufficient space to show the
final configuration of the reclaimed area. Please show the final configuration of
the entire Chief Portal area on the reclamation map, as required under Rule
6.4.6(a).
Figure F-5a indicates a 40+ foot highwall at 0.4H:1 V, which is in conflict with
the 1.5H:1 V slope described in the reclamation plan.
Response #10
Reclamation Mans
#10a - Wildcat Mining is submitting revised reclamation mans showing the expected
physical appearance of all affected lands after reclamation has been completed and without
surface facilities shown. See Attachment C.
#10b - Wildcat Mining is submitting revised reclamations maps delineating and labeling
the boundaries of affected lands and where possible showing the permit boundaries. See
Attachment C.
#10c - Wildcat Mining is submitting revised reclamation maps illustrating transition areas
and extending contour lines beyond the boundary of the affected lands See Attachment C
#10d - Wildcat Mining is submitting revised reclamation maps removing conflict between
reclamation maps and the reclamation plan, and addressing the inadequacies identified by
DRMS in the reclamation maps. See Attachment C These revisions include the following
• The Filter Press, 35 ton Dry Cake Hopper, portal shed and portions of the Mill on
F-1 have been removed. See Attachment C, Figure F-1;
• The area referenced on Figure F-1 is pre-existing-or undisturbed The Reclamation
Plan only provides that "disturbed" areas will be reduced to 1 5H•1V Figure F-1 is,
therefore, consistent with the Reclamation Plan;
• The area referenced on Figure F-3 is pre-existing-or undisturbed The Reclamation
Plan only provides that "disturbed" areas will be reduced to 1 5H•1V Figure F-1 is,
therefore, consistent with the Reclamation Plan;
• The sheds are pre-existing, and will not be reclaimed; Wildcat Mining does not
propose to use these sheds in its mining activities;
Revised
6/6/2011
10
