May 25, 2011 C-1981-016/Hawk Nest E&W JJD <br /> The east mine mud slide north and adjacent to the county road did not flow onto the road. <br /> RECLAMATION.SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> The backfilled portal areas north of the county road appeared to be stable with revegetation cover ranging <br /> from fair to moderate.The east mine yard area between the road and the river was stable and showed no signs of <br /> erosional gullying.The revegetation cover was good.The reclaimed west mine yard area had a good vegetative <br /> cover and no signs of erosional gullying or slope instability were observed. In general,the reclaimed areas blended <br /> in with the surrounding terrain. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15❑❑Vegetative Cover;Timing: <br /> The east mine yard area south of the county road had a good vegetative cover.The backfilled east mine <br /> portal area north of the county road had a fair to moderate vegetative cover. <br /> The west mine silo area south of the county road had a very good stand of vegetation. The west mine portal area <br /> north of the county road had a fair to moderate cover of vegetation. The same was true for the reclaimed bleeder <br /> entry area north of the county road and about half way between the east mine portal area and the west mine portal <br /> area. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12: <br /> The only slide on site was the natural mud slide on the north side of the road at the east mine area.The <br /> mud slide has partially blocked the inlet of the westernmost culvert at the east mine area. The slide did not block <br /> the road,however. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> There are no mine identification signs or surface disturbance markers associated with this revoked site. <br /> Stream buffer zone signs remain along the river at the west mine silo area. <br /> SEALING OF DRILLED HOLES AND UNDERGROUND OPENINGS—Rule 4.07 <br /> RECLAMATION PLAN COMPLIANCE—Rule 4.13 <br /> DOCUMENTS RECEIVED-None <br /> OTHER(SPECIFY) <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />
