Damage to the
gas line drip could make it to malfunction, possibly resulting in carriage of condensed water into
the gas line, and gas flow disruption. Damage to the gas blow -off valve could cause the valve to
malfunction, possibly allowing sufficient pressure build up in the gas line to damage the pipeline,
disrupt gas flow, and/or leak gaseous products. Damage to gas line test station could result in
lost access for testing of the gas pipeline.
4.3.4 Gas Pipeline Ancillary Structure Damage Mitigation Plan
A damage mitigation plan identical to the gas pipeline plan is recommended.
4.4 Water Pipeline
4.4.1 Water Pipeline Subsidence Control Plan
Water pipelines typically run parallel and adjacent to gas pipelines, carrying produced
water from the wellhead to water disposal pits. It is anticipated that water pipelines can be
undermined using development -only workings without impacting them. Given the anticipated
range of cover depths and width of entries and crosscuts, it is highly unlikely that any perceptible
surface deformation will occur. However, surface owner(s) should be notified prior to
commencement of room and pillar operations under these installations.
4.4.2 Water Pipeline Monitoring Plan
A monitoring plan similar to the gas pipeline monitoring plan is recommended. Where
water pipelines and gas pipelines run parallel to each other, the monitoring carried out for the gas
pipeline should suffice for the water pipeline as well.
4.4.3 Worst Possible Consequences of Damage to Water Pipelines
Damage to a water pipeline could affect the water flow away from the production site.
At worst, a broken pipeline could leak produced water to the ground releasing contaminants (if
present) in the process.
4.4.4 Water Pipeline Damage Mitigation Plan
A damage mitigation plan identical to the gas pipeline plan is recommended.
4.5 Water Pipeline Ancillary Structures
4. S.1 Water Pipeline Ancillary Structure Subsidence Control Plan
Water discharge points and water valves have been classified as ancillary structures to
water pipelines.
