May 25, 2011 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RDZ
Issues requiring maintenance by TMI were identified with the piles:
• Markers are missing or need to be repaired at piles ASH-10,A92-1 (north side),D93-1 (north end),
D97-I, E94-1, E94-2,JG-7(west side),and 1G-8.
• Rills were observed on the north side of Al-08.
• Animal burrows,which should he filled,were found on E94-2 and JG-7.
Two piles have no vegetation and require seeding: ASH-10 and ZI-09. ZI-09 is also very steep and requires
grading. Several other piles are generally vegetated but contain significant bare spots: AI-08,CG-1,D93-1, E94-
2,and Z2-07. This issue should be monitored, and, if necessary, reseeding should be conducted.
Some of the piles have slopes greater than 3:1. However, all of the piles observed(with the exception of ZI-09 as
noted above)contain well-established vegetation, and it would not be worthwhile to re-grade them due to steep
slopes.
PHOTOGRAPHS
ASI I-Ill topsoil pile—not complete
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 3 of 4
