Compliance With Mine Plan NA -Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> R -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This partial coal inspection was conducted by Rob Zuber of the Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining, and <br /> Safety(Division)and three representatives of the Office of Surface Mining(Elizabeth Shaeffer,Howard Strand, <br /> and Roberta Martinez-Hernandez). The inspection was conducted for two special focus topics: to evaluate TMI's <br /> blasting notifications and to evaluate TMI's topsoil stripping and storing activities. Graham Roberts of TMI <br /> accompanied the inspection in the field. <br /> The weather was clear and seasonably warm. The ground was clear of snow and slightly muddy. <br /> EXPLOSIVES—Rule 4.08: <br /> For 2010 and 2011,letters to landowners and public notices were reviewed. No problems were identified with <br /> TMI's blasting notification procedures and documents. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06: <br /> Topsoil stripping was not occurring at Trapper Mine during the inspection. <br /> The following topsoil piles were inspected: Al-08,A92-1,A95-2,A98-3,A99-3, ASH-10,CG-1,D93-1,D97-1, <br /> E94-1, E94-2,JG-7,JG-8,K1-10,Z1-09,and Z2-07. <br /> Several of the piles contained cheat grass. This will continually be monitored as part of TMI's weed management <br /> plan. Other weeds were observed(e.g., Russian thistle on Al-08 and white top on D93-1)and shall be monitored <br /> and sprayed as appropriate. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Page 2 of 4 <br />
