G-X/-J/fr1T ('
day operating season. Therefore, the percolation total for an operating season would be APR 12
9.71 acre feet __--
I TMMARY
The estimated combined evaporation and percolation losses during a 180 day
operating season come to 10.33 acre feet. Nominally, then, the consumption from the
132 acre feet used would be the 10.33 acre feet, the rest would be circulated through the
operation. If assumptions are incorrect (how much water would still be in the tailings
that will be used to backfill mined out areas seems to be the biggest unknown) losses
could double althought most would return to the ground water. A projected usage of 20
to 25 acre feet per 180 day season seems reasonable.
e7l ?..I/
