The boundaries for the communities were taken from Exhibit K-1 of
i the existing permit, site verifications and photographs of the
area. Planimetering the original vegetative communities in the
reclaimed areas from Exhibit M-1B yields the following:
N#1 Mine Meadow Original Area: 1.30 acres. Of this original amount,
almost all of this area was restored as the access road, storage
building, storage building access road and re-established drainage
channel at the request of the landowner. See Exhibit M-1B. Since
revegetation cannot be counted for this area, it must be removed
from the area for which the revegetation standard applies.
N#1 Mine Mountain Shrub Original Area: 9.03 acres.
N#i Mine Big Sage Original Area: 1.11 acres
The weighted average is derived for the percent cover of the
original communities for those lands to be reclaimed to the
vegetation standards. Al l acreages were de termined from the
detailed survey data of Exhibit M-3 and Exhibit M-1B. The disturbed
area acreages were determined by surveying by Peter Epp and
Associates, professional land surveyors of Denver, Colorado. All
acreages are shown on each map of Exhibit M-3. The weighted average
is derived below:
Area Acres Orig. Veg.
