See Plate 2 of the NOI for
a map showing the existing roads:
1. Klondike Trail begins at the Forest Road 880 and continues eastward for about 250 ft to a fork in
the road. One fork continues eastward to a locked gate and continues to the Wedge Claim,
property of BLMC. The other fork is a continuation of the Klondike Trail and it continues in a
northerly direction for about 1935 ft to the Homestake patented claim, property of BLMC. This
road will NOT be significantly improved. There will be no realignment, widening, or gradient
reduction. The only work planned in accordance with a USFS site visit on April 28th, 2011 will be
some smoothing, down sloping to improve drainage, and some as yet undefined work at
drainages crossing the road, (the USFS did not recommend culverts, but will specify another
form of erosion protection). Klondike Trail continues for another 2000 ft through patented
claims and ends at the cabin site on the BLMC patented claims. This road will also be smoothed
and drainage protection applied as per USFS requirements. As this road services the patented
claim group, it will not be reclaimed.
2. Homestake Trail begins at the intersection of the Klondike trail and the locked gate at the
entrance to Homestake patented claim and continues in a southerly direction for 750 ft to the
Homestake adit. This trail will require some widening and drainage protection and smoothing.
Sloughage from the upslope side of the trail has caused some width reduction to below 10 ft.
This trail will be reclaimed at the end of the project. Total square footage equals 7500sq ft.
Belleview Land & Mineral Co., LLC
7887 East Belleview Ave, Ste 1100
Englewood, Colorado 80111 USA
Telephone (303)228-1644
