The photos were reviewed in the office on May 6, 2011 by Janet Binns of CDRMS. The <br /> Southfield Mine is a reclaimed underground coal mine. The majority of the mine facilities area has been <br /> reclaimed. Structures remaining include a permanent coal waste disposal pile(refuse pile), a reclaim tunnel that is <br /> approved to remain as a permanent structure in support of the post-mining land use, access road to the refuse pile, <br /> a small parking area,two sediment ponds, an access road to the reclaimed fan site,permanent ditches at the refuse <br /> pile, a substation,an inactive load-out located off-site,west of the town of Florence,and a water well located off <br /> site(Corley well). This aerial inspection did not include photos of the load out,the substation, Corley well or the <br /> reclaimed fan site <br /> The weather the day of the aerial inspection was dry and partly cloudy. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑[]Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> both pond 4 and pond 5 are dry.
