COLORADO 80751
4. Exhibit E has been revised to state that "Weed control will be accomplished on the site during grass
stand establishment. Weed control may be chemical or mechanical. Mowing shows best results
when completed between mid June and early July. "
5. Exhibit E has been revised to clarify intended ongoing reclamation efforts. It is important to reclaim
mined areas of a large pit as mining moves on from one area to another. Mined areas of the Kues pit
will be sloped as mining ends in one area and moves to another (in a generally West to East
direction.) Grading will be done to match the original contours of the land as closely as possible with
no slope being steeper than 3:1. Any sloped areas or stock piles that will not be disturbed for more
than 12 months will be seeded. Mining at the Kues pit may be ongoing beyond 5 years. Full
reclamation activities will not begin until mining operations cease, however, ongoing reclamation
efforts (sloping and seeding) will occur as areas are mined. The revised exhibit is attached.
6. Exhibit E has been revised to clarify that the stockpiles of overburden and topsoil will be stored on-site
and separately. The revised exhibit is attached.
EXHIBIT F
Exhibit F has been revised to a scale of 1:7,920. The drainage area for the unnamed dry creek bed in
the existing pit area has been regarded to allow for drainage along the original corridor. While
drainage may be temporarily affected by mining operations, final grading will return the area as closely
as possible to the original contours of the land. Final grading will be to no more than a 3:1 slope and
may be significantly flatter as it will follow the original topography as closely as possible. The revised
exhibit is attached.
EXHIBIT G
1. Exhibit G has been revised to address unnamed drainage. The revised exhibit is attached.
EXHIBIT H
2. The letter from DOW has been labeled as Exhibit H and is attached.
EXHIBIT I
1. Exhibit I - Soils Information has been revised to include a discussion of the depth of top soil, depth of
gravel deposit and underlying stratum. The revised exhibit is attached.
EXHIBIT N
4
