lltl
I
Specifically, Tributary B Ditch is needed in the post-mining case to direct waters
from reclaimed lands toward the existing natural drainage shown on Map 41141A.
However, its alignment has been shifted north to better follow the Swale being
formed in the post-mining topography. Tributary D, as suggested by CDRMS, has
been moved west and realigned in its lower reach for the same reason, that is, to
better follow the post-mining topography. In addition, the 8050 contour has been
adjusted here as suggested to better form the post-mining swale in which the ditch
will be constructed. Tributary E is needed to focus post-mining runoff into an
existing natural drainage in undisturbed lands below the Section Sixteen Pond
Ditch Extension. Its alignment has been shifted slightly, and the post-mining
topography has also been adjusted to accentuate the gentle swale in which this
ditch will be constructed. Tributary G was located so as to collect runoff from the
majority of its tributary watershed. As requested by CDRMS, we have reviewed
this subwatershed and do not feel another hardened channel is needed. The Swale
to the east that will be formed by the post-mining topography naturally drains
toward the lower end of Tributary G, and should be able to convey flows via
simple overland flow to the point where Tributary G terminates prior to release in
the existing drainage on downstream undisturbed lands. It has therefore not been
modified on Map 41141A. Tributary H is needed to focus reclaimed area runoff
into another existing drainage on undisturbed lands visible on Map 41141A. The
ditch alignment has been adjusted slightly to the west as suggested by CDRMS to
better follow the Swale in the post-mining topography created by the southerly
trending nose below the 7900 contour.
For any tributary ditches whose alignments have changed as described above,
corresponding revisions have also been made to the profiles on Map 33B and the
ditch details in Table 1 in Exhibit 7, Item 20, Part E.
45. Response Partially Accepted. Colowyo has addressed the mining sequence as requested.
On the change sheet Colowyo states that they have provided updated pages South
Taylor/Lower Wilson-Rule 2, Pages 99-104. Page 103, however, was missing from the
submittal. Please provide two copies of South Taylor/Lower Wilson-Rule 2, Page 103 for
review. Please ensure that the page flows from page 102 and to page 104.
Response. Page 103 has been provided as requested.
