Mr. Bird's questions were appended to your letter <br />regarding "Secondary Preliminary Adequacy Issues for a 112d-1 Application, CN-01 <br />Wildcat Mining Corporation, May Day Idaho Complex, File No. M-1981-185." <br />Adequacy Issue #1 <br />Exhibit D - Mining Plan; Rule 6.4.4(c), page 5 (note: mislabeled as 6.4.3(c)). With regards to the <br />proposed augmentation pond, in accordance with Rule 3.1.6 in reference to protection of water <br />quality, the applicant must add the augmentation pond to the surface water monitoring program, <br />to allow comparison of the water quality of the pond with the quality of water to which the pond <br />might be discharged. <br />Response #1 <br />In the event the proposed augmentation pond is constructed, Wildcat Mining Corporation <br />("Wildcat Mining") will commit to sampling the augmentation pond on a quarterly basis. <br />The augmentation pond water will be diverted (pumped) from the La Plata River or the <br />Idaho spring in accordance with Wildcat Mining's water right decree. <br />Adequacy Issue #2 <br />Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan; Reclamation Effort 3: Closure and Final Reclamation, page 3. The <br />applicant states that solid waste will be placed in the mine rock storage stope.
