1.0 INTRODUCTION <br />1.1 Terms and Conditions <br />ARCADIS U.S., Inc. (ARCADIS) was retained by Homestake to collect the data and <br />other information from contractors engaged at the Pitch Reclamation Project and to <br />assemble this report of the 2010 monitoring and reclamation activities. Information <br />used in this report was provided by: ARCADIS; SRK, Inc.; Energy Laboratories, Inc.; <br />and the Homestake-Pitch Project field office in. Sargents, Colorado. <br />1.2 Purpose and Scope of Work <br />This report was prepared to fulfill the annual reclamation reporting requirements of <br />Homestake to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for <br />reclamation permit number M-77-004HR. This report primarily presents reclamation <br />and monitoring conducted during the 2010 calendar year. Documentation of <br />reclamation conducted in previous years was presented in prior annual reports. <br />1.3 Project Description <br />The Pitch Reclamation Project is located in Township 48 North, Range 6 East, <br />Saguache County, Colorado. The project area is situated on both fee and public <br />land within the Gunnison National Forest. The primary drainage from the property is <br />Indian Creek. Drainage from Tie Camp Creek joins Indian Creek upstream of the <br />CDPS permit discharge monitoring point at the project site. Indian Creek joins <br />Marshall Creek approximately four miles southwest of the Pitch property.
