Response to Preliminary County Comments Received on March 17, 2011
the correct boundary of affected lands, and delineates the different boundaries with unique line
pattern and color.
Response #6
Adequacy Issue #6 has been addressed in the enclosed submitted maps. The may
registrations have been rectified to address the itemized discrepancy presented in DRMS
comments.
Adequacy Issue #7
Figure SWMP-2 delineates and labels two augmentation ponds, one of which is located outside
of the affected land boundary. Figure SWMP-2 inappropriately locates the mill facility at the
Idaho rather than at the May Day 1 level. The proposed drainage basin boundaries appear
random and confusing. Figure SWMP-2 indicates three culverts for the illegal access road, none
of which appear to be located at the road and two of which appear to be located beyond the
permit boundary. Please revise Figure SWMP-2 to correctly illustrate what is intended.
Response #7
Adequacy Issue #7 has been addressed in the enclosed submitted maps. As present in
Exhibit D one augmentation pond may be built. The map has been modified accordingly to
ensure the proposed structure is located within the affected land boundary. In addition,
due to mine plan modifications the Idaho mill no longer exists and has been converted to a
core warehouse. The drainage basins delineation remains the same; however more clarity
is provided to explain why the basins were delineated. The basin delineation was
illustrated to define flows and enable the following design and analysis:
• Drainage channel design
• Culvert design
• Road Ditch design
• BMP design
• Water quality sampling stage rating analysis
Structure locations have been placed with more precision. The supporting design for the
DRMS summarized structures are designed and included the application. Wildcat Mining
Corporation has also committed to submitting as built drawings for all approved
structures.
Revised
4/14/2011
4
