Assumptions:
- (1) Closure of the shaft will be according to CDPHE requirements for asbestos disposal sites (11CR4,4-88) and in accordance with the plan outlined in a letter from R.J. Gostk to the
Solid Waste Section of the CDH (now CDPHE).
_ (2) Costs for capping can be based on concrete work experience of Nielsons in 2005 (includes forming + rebar + labor+ materials).
(3) Monitoring construction and air quality testing during Closure will be required.
(4) A final Closure report will be needed to satisfy CDPHE.
Tasks:
- (1) Load, haul, and dump waste rock from the pit into the open shaft (10 it dia).
(2) Construct 2 it thick re-inforced concrete cap over the shaft.
(3) Grade out the surrounding area.
(4) Reclaim the access road to CAVR (covered elsewhere).
