v <br />0 Clinton Gulch Reservoir <br />(1) Issue: Effects on water quality & quantity from modifications to the terrain in <br />the Clinton Creek drainage. <br />a. Concern: The expansion of the McNulty Overburden Storage Facility <br />("OSF") may affect the water quality of the East Interceptor Ditch. <br />b. Potential Mitigation Measures (or additional information needed) <br />i. Assurances that the south end of the East Interceptor Ditch will be <br />realigned in a manner that will prevent contaminated drainage from <br />the McNulty OSF from entering the Ditch. <br />(2) Issue: Blasting activities will affect water quality in Clinton Gulch Reservoir. <br />a. Potential Mitigation Measures (or additional information needed <br />i. Agreement that proposed activities will not affect water quality of <br />the Clinton Gulch Reservoir or the location, water quality, or water <br />quantity of Clinton Gulch Reservoir and the Clinton Gulch Ditch. <br />ii. Climax will use best management practices during blasting. <br />(3) Issue: Documentation of current baseline water conditions in Clinton <br />. Reservoir and measures to prevent degradation. <br />a. Potential Mitigation Measures (or additional information needed) <br />i. Sampling of Clinton Gulch Reservoir to establish current baseline <br />water quality conditions. <br />ii. Water quality monitoring to assess potential impacts. <br />43759
