Hall, P.E.
Acting Division Engineer
The purpose of this letter is to approve the lining of the above referenced gravel pit. This
approval is based on the site inspection conducted on March 31, 2003 and on the
information provided by you under a cover letter dated June 6, 2003. The estimated pit
inflows from precipitation and groundwater indicate that this pit has been lined to the
desicin standard referenced in the August 1999 State Engineer Guidelines for Lining
Criteria for Gravel Pits. Meeting the design standard requires that all water inflows and
outflows for this pond must be accounted for on a monthly basis.
Please call me if you have any questions.
VarraPit112LineOK.doc
CC: Scott Edgar, Water Commissioner
Jeff Deatherage, Denver SEO
Chris Varra, Varra Companies
Brad Janes, Varra Companies (e-mail only)
I UP 46 Sincerely,
.,r.
a,fthirpol

David L.
