Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Piheda
Director
The new Construction Materials 112c permit application named above was found complete on March 4, 2011.
Technical adequacy review of the application has begun, and the application is not yet adequate for approval.
Several items have been identified that must be discussed, as listed in the following paragraphs. Please provide
responses to each of the items.
The Division mailed you and the applicant a letter notifying you of the completeness, and instructing you to begin
publishing the four newspaper notices and to send notices to each affected landowner and all owners of land,
structures or easements within 200 feet of the affected land. Presuming that at least one of the notices has been
published by this time, please send me a copy of one of the clippings, for my review and so I may know the
publication dates and the end of the public comment period.
At the end of the four publications, you will need to provide proof of the publications.
Please provide proof of mailing the landowner notices (mentioned above) and proof of delivery of those notices.
Exhibit C - Pre-Mining and Minina Plan Maps, Rule 6.4.3
Responses to the items discussed below may require a revised pre-mining and mining plan map.
The map includes a 50-foot setback from the existing fence on the south side of the permitted area. Existing
topographic contours indicate that stockpiles of stone exist within that setback. Will these stockpiles of stone be
removed from this 50-foot strip into the material stockpile area?
The map includes the following features: fenceline along the south side; entrance/access road on the east end; and
several small unidentified features near the road about 100 feet outside the eastern permit boundary. The Division
considers these to potentially all be significant manmade structures, so please ensure that they are all described in
Exhibit S. Also please provide a description of the unidentified features noted above.
Page 1
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grad Junction Durango Active and Inactive Mines
