Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> R -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection conducted by Janet Binns of DRMS. The weather at the beginning of the <br /> inspection was mild and sunny. The snowpack is quickly melting off and much of the snowpack in the lower <br /> elevation of the mine is patchy,with vegetation showing through.Areas are muddy and thawing. Chip Brown <br /> accompanied the inspector in the field on the second day of the inspection. The mine is an active surface mine <br /> with two active mining areas; South Taylor Pit and West Pit. The East pit is being reclaimed. Activity in the east <br /> pit is minimal during the winter months. <br /> AIR RESOURCE PROTECTION—Rule 4.17: <br /> The haulroads through out the mine were not dusty. A water truck was being filled at the work area pond, <br /> but watering of the roadways was not observed, nor was it needed during the inspection. No blowing of stockpiled <br /> coal at the load out was apparent during the inspection. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records checklist accompanies this report. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;Highwall Elimination <br /> 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and <br /> Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> The 102 Dragline was actively regrading 2011 spoil handling area in the West pit. Colowyo is progressing in the <br /> 2011 regrade area of the west pit.
