Inventoried Roadless Areas. <br />None of the surface disturbances (drill pad and access road construction) <br />proposed would occur in an inventoried roadless area. Consequently there are <br />no extraordinary circumstances associated with these resources. <br />Findings required by and/or related to other Laws and Regulations <br />Land and Resource Management Plan <br />The proposed project, as well as the attached Conditions of Surtace Use, ensures that <br />the proposal meets the direction of GMUG Forest Plan to "encourage environmentally <br />sound energy and minerals development." This project is also consistent with the <br />management goals and objectives for this area: 4B, emphasis on wildlife habitat for <br />management indicator species. <br />Endangered Species Act (ESAJ, Nation Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), arrd <br />Environmental Justice <br />The project and attached conditions are in compliance with provisions of the ESA based <br />on conclusions of the Biological Assessment as described above under "Extraordinary <br />Circumstances". In compliance with the NHPA, cultural surveys have been completed <br />and no historic properties will be affected. <br />No floodpfains, wetlands, and prime farmlands will be affected by this project. There are <br />no low income or minority populations that could be disproportionately affected by the <br />project. <br />Road Use <br />In accordance with 36 CFR 261.54(d), all commercial users of Forest Service System <br />roads are required to obtain a Road Use Permit (RUP). Maintenance of existing roads <br />will be pertormed to Forest Service standards. <br />Implementation Date <br />This decision is effective the date of signature below.
