• <br />SRT139.16 <br />Form: The specimen is a medial section of <br />a biface exhibiting both proximal <br />and distal snap fractures. Cross- <br />section is biconvex produced by " <br />irregular pressure flaking. <br />Plan view of the artifact shows <br />a truncated triangular slope. <br />Material: White chert. <br />Dimensions: <br />Retouch: <br />Functional <br />Interpretation: <br />L J <br />SRT139.28 <br />1.70 cm long x 2.66 cm wide x .53 cm thick. <br />Retouch is prevalent unifacially and <br />bilaterally. <br />Lateral edges exhibit bifacial step <br />fracturing though they are now prevalent <br />on the retouched surfaces. Margins are <br />slightly rounded. Wear appears assoc- <br />iated with cutting. <br />Form: The specimen is an irregularly shaped <br />tertiary flake exhibiting an irregular <br />cross-section. The platform appears <br />prepared while the distal end is absent <br />due to a snap fracture. Cultural altera- <br />tion is both unifacial and unilateral. <br />Material: <br />Dimensions: <br />Retouch: <br />Functional <br />• Interpretation <br />White chalcedony with dendritic inclusions. <br />3.81 cm. long x 3.20 cm. wide x .71 cm. thick <br />Flake is a result of percussion flaking. <br />Edge mofiication is a series of .scalar <br />scars. <br />Wear occurs on the dorsal face of one <br />lateral margin.
