March 10,2011 C-1981-028/Keenesburg Strip Mine RDZ <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03: <br /> The road to B Pit(along the north boundary)and the road south of area 25 were driven during the inspection; they <br /> were well-graded and no problems were identified. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> The entire site was viewed from vehicles. Several areas were viewed on foot: 2, 9, 10,23, 29, 30, and 31. <br /> Significant cheat grass was observed at Area 31. CEC continues to attempt to improve the condition of Area 25 <br /> with chemical treatments for cheat grass; at the time of the inspection,the area contained sparse vegetation. No <br /> other problems were observed. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> Observations during the inspection indicated that the facilities, including the shop area and the old explosives <br /> storage building, are in good shape. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> The entrance sign was in good shape and included the necessary information. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06: <br /> Topsand Pile A-3 was observed from the roads.
