existing fines piles which would require resloping to 3:1 are shown by the
referenced map.
MWCA acknowledges there must be a permit as long as materials may be sold
from the site. MWCA confirms that at some point in the future, the company may
desire to transfer the permit to another party.
3 - After the concrete pad is broken, onsite material will be used to cap the area
and revegetate the footprint of the pad. The pad and walls will be broken by
mechanical means into 2 Foot Diameter or less pieces and buried nearby at a
depth of approximately 4 Feet.
Acknowledged, the capping which will be completed above the area where the
concrete pad and bins are currently located will be graded to conform to a
maximum slope gradient of 3:1.
4 - The overhead electric power lines and poles which extend into the site are
the property of San Luis Valley Electric Cooperative. The electrical power
infrastructure is considered an asset and MWCA does not intend to request its
removal.
Acknowledged, as shown by the referenced map.
5 - The seeding mix and rate will be the same as used elsewhere on the site.
Acknowledged
6 - The seeding has been finished. The conditions of the revegetation will be
monitored and the success will be reported in the annual reports. A Bamberg
Ecological memo dated June 4, 2010 describing the revegetation status in May
2010 is attached and will also be included in the next annual report.
Acknowledged, the site conditions and revegetation success will be reported in
the permit-required annual reports.
7 - The topsoil respreading task has been completed. A stockpile of
topsoil/growth material is located between the fines piles. This will be used to
complete a similar mosaic distribution of growth material for revegetation.
Acknowledged
8 - A stockpile of topsoil/growth material is located between the fines piles. This
will be used to complete a similar mosaic distribution of growth material for
revegetation. It is anticipated the piles would be revegetated using the same
seeding mix and rate as used elsewhere on the site.
