Please find attached two original
Exhibit E1, Revision 1 maps.
Item #2: Also included within the Exhibit E1, Revision 1 map is a clarification of the location of the overhead
telecom utility and the underground gas line utility (buried beneath the centerline of Virginia Canyon Rd.). These
have also been included in revised Exhibit E2 and E3 maps. With those clarifications, all permanent man-made
structures within 200' of the affected area are illustrated.
Item 43A: Exhibit D, Section 6.3.4(1)(c)(ii) has been revised to include this statement regarding fertilizer: Because
of the sort project time duration and relatively small surface area to be reclaimed, there will be an opportunity to
measure the success of this re-vegetation plan and provide for a chance to modem the method with soil amendments
and/or fertilizers on a as needed basis. A technical revision will be sought if this is necessary. Please find attached
two original Exhibit D, Revision 1 submittals.
Item #3B: Exhibit D, Section 6.3.4(1)(c)(i) has been revised to include this statement regarding importing topsol: It
will be very likely that topsoil will need to be imported and Venture Resources commits to do this, as required.
Please find attached two original Exhibit D, Revision I submittals.
Item #4: The SPLP testing that was done for this project is consistent with the method previously approved by Allen
Sorensen during my permit work for the Hukill Gulch Millsite (#M-2009-076, see Exhibit C, appendix Waste Stream
Characterization). Evidence of this is that permit's approval on November 24, 2010. These parameters were
reached during a meeting with Sorensen and Waldron at your offices the week of August 17, 2009. There is no
written correspondence from that meeting.
That being said, during our last visit it was understood that this specific application is a "first pass", if you will, for
handling removing these waste rock piles. So to avoid confusion in future permitting applications, please provide me
with a very specific waste stream characterization procedure, in a separate and unique letter, that I can reference for
future projects. I have no trouble modifying the future permit applications, but want to know clearly what to
prescribe.
