Mining at the Frentress Pit is projected to commence spring of 2011 and end by 2021.
B. The top 6"-8" of topsoil will be stripped, stockpiled, and used in the reclamation
process.
C. The average overburden thickness is estimated to be 36". It will be stockpiled and used
in reclamation of slopes.
D. The average thickness of the gravel deposit is estimated to be 20 feet.
E. The mine will be accessed by existing roads. Processing facilities will be located
within the mine area. There is a proposed scale and load out area located near the
entrance of the property where the mine is located as shown on Exhibit E.
F. The proposed mine area is 8.852 acres with an additional .5 acres for a scale and load out
area.
G. Existing roads are approximately 20'-25' wide. They have been in place for generations.
The roads were previously upgraded and have been used to access the wheat fields for
planting and harvesting purposes and to access other areas of the ranch. There is an
existing sediment basin/ravine that has been used to control spring runoff. This basin is
located on the northwestern boundary of the proposed mining area. See Mine Plan.
H. We estimate that we will use approximately 10,OQO gallons of water a month, during the
summer months, for dust control and washing rock. The Yampa River will be the source
of this water. The land owner currently holds water rights of 1,000 gallons per minute.
I. There was no ground water present during exploration of the proposed mine site.
J. Landowner currently holds the right to pull water from the Yampa River at a rate of
1,000 gallons per minute. There is an existing pipeline that has previously been used to
draw water from the river.
K. We do not anticipate exposing any toxic producing materials during mining-
