Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 11, 2008, an application to renew an <br />existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Carbon Junction Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and <br />the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />Oakridge Energy, Inc. proposes to continue surface coal reclamation operations on land located approximately 2 miles <br />southeast of Durango, Colorado. No increase in mined area or surface area are proposed for this inactive mine. Coal <br />and surface ownership are private. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Section 33, T34 1/2N, R9W; Portions of Section 33, T35N, R9W; Portions of Section 4, T34N, R9W. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Durango East and Loma <br />Linda. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder, 1060 <br />E Second Ave, Durango, CO 81301, and at the Division office.
