These soils formed in mixed alluvium. <br />Slope is 0 to 3 percent. Elevation is 6,500 to 7,500 feet. Average annual <br />precipitation is 18 to 25 inches, and average annual air temperature is 37 <br />to 40 degrees F. <br />These soils are fine-loamy over sandy or sandy-skeletal, mixed Cumulic <br />Cryob rolls. <br />iCV pe?oh of ar t,I'\n? lle??yq? r(c <br />' C, 1%??' <br />PCC?p 2? nches to 0; unhdecomposed?leves?and, roots. <br />Al--0 to 8 inches; dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) loam, very dark grayish <br />brown (10YR 3/2) moist; weak medium subangular blocky structure parting to <br />weak fine subangular blocky; slightly hard, very friable, slightly sticky, <br />and slightly plastic; neutral; clear smooth boundary. <br />A2--8 to 21 inches; dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) loam, very dark <br />grayish brown (10YR 3/2); moderate medium subangular blocky structure <br />parting to moderate fine subangular blocky; slightly hard, very friable, <br />sticky, and plastic; noncalcareous; mildly alkaline; clear smooth boundary. <br />AC--21 to 28 inches; pale brown (10YR 6/3) loam stratified with thin <br />lenses of sandy loam, brown (10YR 4/3) moist; many fine distinct (5YR 5/8) <br />mottles; weak medium subangular blocky structure; slightly hard, very <br />friable, slightly sticky, and slightly plastic; noncalcareous; mildly <br />alkaline; abrupt smooth boundary. <br />2C1--28 to 37 inches; very pale brown (10YR 7/3) loamy fine sand, brown <br />(lOYR 5/3) moist; many fine distinct (5YR 5/8) mottles; massive; soft, very <br />friable, nonsticky, and nonplastic; noncalcareous; mildly alkaline; abrupt <br />wavy boundary.
