Past records show that the annual date for the pit is February 22nd of each year.
The following information is provided to comply with C.R.S 34-32.5-116 or C.R.S 34-32-116:
(1) The gravel operator has extracted gravel from the same disturbed area as has been in use for
the past few years. Mining has been accomplished by extracting deeper gravel and utilizing
portions of the gold mining tailings.
The gravel operator has installed a settling pond as shown from which silt will be excavated and
stockpiled. The gravel operator will stockpile the reclaimed silt in the stockpile area shown on
the map.
The gold operator has moved its mining to the area surrounding the Gold Man Camp.
Predominantly, the area had been previously disturbed by the Man Camp. Please see the
attached map. Material for the operation has been obtained by processing gravel that was
previously disturbed on the surface. The ponds immediately below the gold processing plant are
frequently cleaned out to remove sediment, and this silty material is then stockpiled for later
use in reclamation as substitute topsoil. The location of the stockpile area is shown on the
attached Annual Report Map. Some of the processed material from the gold operation is also
being sold as construction aggregates, but the amount sold does not result in any significant
changes to the approved reclamation plan. The overburden from the 2010 mining season was
stockpiled around the excavation and is planned on being placed back into the excavation in
2011.
(2) The gravel operator has performed no reclamation on the previous 110 permit area or any
other area in the pit, however, the extraction of gravel from past gold mining and the stockpiling
of fines will allow later reclamation to be very good. All of the stockpiled wood on the site has
(303) 7e1-4770 2040 W. FiamiltOS? Pl Sheridan, co 801 10 ialo@AlmapiaOSr.OOm
