The following issues need clarification or correction in order for staff to <br />continue the decision process. Please address the following: <br />1) In Exhibit C, Pre - Mining Map C -1 shows high power line easements but does not <br />reflect the exact location of poles. Please show all manmade structures per Rule <br />6.4.3(g). <br />2) Fruita Marketing and Management is not shown on Map C -1 as required by Rule <br />6.4.3(a). <br />3) Carolyn & ?? Mavrakis Prospect Development is not clearly shown on Map C -1. <br />This property owner is also not listed in Exhibit S. Please verify that no manmade <br />structures for this landowner are within 200 feet of the affected area. <br />4) Exhibit D, the Mining Plan, states that "0.67 acres of marsh and swale near the <br />southeast part of the permitted area" is jurisdictional wetlands. The marsh area is <br />noted on Map C -1, the Pre - mining Map. However, the area is not noted on Map C- <br />2, the Mining Map. Please note the location of the protected marshlands on Map C- <br />2. Please clarify within the narration for mining in Area 2; what steps will be taken <br />to protect this area. Staff feels visual demarcation is important to prevent <br />accidental disturbance. Map C -2 shows a diversion ditch cutting through part of <br />this marsh area. Please Clarify. <br />5) Areas 1 --4 will haul materials to Area 5 for processing. Please identify haul routes <br />on Map C -2. Additionally, describe road dimensions and any requirements <br />necessary for the protection of underground utilities where easements and roads co- <br />exist. <br />
