.'R <br />I <br />RL\IEIVED <br />DATE: January 15, 2009 JAN 19 2009 <br />Division of Reclamation, <br />TO: File, Red Mesa Pit, M-1999-086 Mining and Safety <br />FROM: Wally Erickson <br />RE: Well Permit, Red Mesa Pit, Permit No. M-1999-086 <br />The enclosed document was provided by Scott Brinton with the Division of Water <br />Resources, in response to the Division's inspection report generated from the <br />August 23, 2008 inspection, signed October 23, 2008. <br />The enclosed document, dated January 3, 2002 and signed by the Division <br />Engineer, indicates that the pond at the Red Mesa Pit is sealed and that no <br />ground water will be exposed except when available out of the La Plata River. <br />The document also indicates that DWR may need to re-evaluate the pit for <br />ground water. <br />
