The Applicant did not include the 7 acre Pre-Law site in the conversion application. Please explain why <br />the Pre-Law area was not included in the conversion application acreage or revise the application form <br />and all applicable exhibits to include the Pre-law acreage conversion application. <br />General Requirments - Maps and Exhibits (Rule 6.2) <br />Rule 6.2.1 (2) requires maps, except the index map, must conform to the following critiera: <br />a) Show the name of Applicant <br />b) Must be prepared and signed by a registered land surveyor, professional engineer, or other <br />qualified person <br />c) Give date prepared <br />d) Identify and outline the the area which corresponds with the application <br />e) Shall be prepared at a scale that is apropriate to clearly show all elements that are required to <br />be delineated by the Act and these Rules. The acceptable range of map scales shall not be <br />larger than 1 inch = 50 feet nor smaller than 1 inch = 660 feet. Also, that a map scale, <br />appropriate legend, map title, date and a north arrow shall be included. <br />4. Please revise Exhibits C and F to comply with the requirements of Rule 6.2. The Applicant previously <br />used North Park Engineering & Consultants, Inc. to prepare the map exhibits for the Bond Pit. The <br />Division suggests the Applicant contact North Park Enginineering & Consultants, Inc. or a similar <br />consulting firm to assist with the Fairbanks Pit conversion application. The Division can recommend <br />other consulting firms which may be able to assist the Applicant in complying with Rule 6.2 upon <br />request. <br />Exhibit C - Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands (Rule 6.4.3) <br />5. Rule 1.11.2(3)(b), requires conversion applications to show the area mined or disturbed and the area <br />reclaimed since the original permit application. Please indicate these areas on Exhibit C. <br />6. Please revise Exhibit C to comply with the following requirements of Rule 6.4.3: <br />a) Please indicate all immediately adjacent surface owners of record. <br />b) Please indicate the name and location of all creeks, roads, buildings, oil and gas wells and lines, and <br />power and communication lines on the area of affected land and within two hundred (200) feet of all <br />boundaries of such area. <br />The map scale submitted by the Applicant did not provide the appropriate level of detail to allow the <br />Division to verify the requirements of Rule 6.4.3(b) were satisfied by the Applicant. <br />c) Please provide the existing topography of the area with contour lines of sufficient detail to portray the <br />direction and rate of slope of the affected land. <br />d) Please provide the type of present vegetation covering the affected lands or indicate if no vegetation <br />is present due to previous mining activity at the site. <br />e) Please show the owner's name, type of structures, and location of all permanent or man-made <br />structures contained on the area of affected land and within two hundred (200) feet of the affected <br />land.
