Mining Plan EXHIBIT C
The Lost Cause Pond is being cleaned out by the rancher primarily for agricultural purposes to
provide more water supply to his cattle from water run-off. The rancher wants to remove the
extracted material not only to his property for use, but also, would like to be able to provide it to
other individuals to remove it from the property. This is not primarily a mining operation.
6.3.3(a)
The maintenance / cleaning of the Lost Cause Pond had been initially cleaned in 2009 and is
estimated to end December 31, 2015.
6.3.3(b)
There is approximately 320 cubic yards of topsoil that is currently stockpiled for the disturbed
area outlying the stock water pond. This topsoil will be delineated by a fence to separate it from
any additional stockpile removed and will have a sign posted as such to state, "Topsoil
Stockpile." Vegetation has already begun to grow on the stockpile since its originating removal
and will be seeded and monitored for growth.
6.3.3(d)
The extracted materials which can be defined as a silty loam will be to maintain the legal limits
of the pond bed estimated at 9' +, also known as the original constructed depth and footprint of
the bottom of the pond floor. Therefore, the thickness of the deposit to be mined will be 9'.
6.3.3(e)
The entrance to the site is on a private, unimproved dirt road off of County Road 26:
Latitude N390 49.848"; Longitude W 108° 21.411"
The approximate center of the affected area is:
Latitude N39° 491.748"; W108' 21'.432"
Elevation is 64,640
There is no intention of any additional components proposed for the affected area location in
conjunction with the removal / maintenance / cleaning thereof the material from the stock water
pond. Therefore, no components will be notated on Exhibit E - Map.
6.3.3(f)
Outside of the previously mentioned stockpile of topsoil located at North - Northwest area of the
pond as shown on Exhibit E - Map for re-vegetation purposes of approximately 320 cubic yards,
the additional extracted material from the stock water pond will be located North of the pond as
shown on Exhibit E - Map.
s
