response of a fuel/lubricant spill. The following procedure shall be followed concerning <br />such a spill: <br />1. Contact management immediately <br />2. Identify the source of the spill <br />3. Contain the spill and eliminate the source of additional spillage <br />4. Use absorbents (Oi1Dry, pads, etc.) to soak up spilled material <br />5. Dispose of absorbent materials in approved manner <br />6. Collect any contaminated soil for proper disposal <br />7. Repair or replace any damaged containers that were the source of the leak <br />Absorbent materials shall be well stocked in a storage trailer located at the Venture <br />Resources' Hukill Gulch Millsite center of operations. <br />Employee Education: A very important component to this Stormwater Management Plan is to <br />provide comprehensive education to the operating staff. This is a relatively small operation consisting <br />of upto 3 part-time employees. Additionally, any sub-contractors brought on-site shall be educated on <br />the specifics of this SWMP. Training shall be done twice annually and with each new hire. A training <br />outline shall consist of: <br />• Introduction to Stormwater Permits <br />1. Background information describing rationale and importance <br />2. Status of existing permit <br />• Stormwater Management Plan Components <br />1. Spill response and clean-up procedures <br />a. Fuel/lubricants <br />b. Waste rock <br />2. Good housekeeping procedures <br />3. Best Management Practices (BMP's) <br />a. What they are and where they apply <br />b. Implementation <br />c. Maintenance <br />4. Inspections <br />Reporting and Record Keeping <br />Enforcement <br />g. Identification of Discharges other than Stormwater: It is clearly understood that no discharges, <br />except stormwater, are allowed in the systems described within this Stormwater Management Plan. <br />The only exception to this is any water deployed during fire fighting activity or for dust abatement. <br />5.
