Weeds are a constant concern as they quickly reclaim any disturbed sites and overtake native grasses
and vegetation. Since seed sources are in the vicinity, we recommend seeding the disturbed area with
native species once excavation activities have ceased for the year.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Please call me or Terry Mathieson (970/252-6012) if you
have further questions.
Sincerely,
1'
?'Q a '
Renzo DelPiccolo
Area Wildlife Manager - Montrose
970/252-6010
cc: Terry Mathieson-District Wildlife Manager, Tom Spezze-Southwest Region Manager
